Trinity Jagdeo Email and Phone Number
Growing up alongside my best friend, who has spinal muscular atrophy, I saw firsthand the challenges she faced—being left out, missing opportunities, and lacking role models who resembled her. This personal experience, combined with my desire for change, led me to write to Disney at 14, advocating for a Disney princess or prince with a disability. When my request went unanswered, I took action and founded From We Can’t to We Can at 17, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing representation, inclusivity, and accessibility for children with disabilities. At the heart of our mission, I author and publish children’s books featuring children with disabilities as superheroes. These stories aim to challenge stereotypes and inspire readers of all ages with their themes of courage and resilience.Beyond my work as an author, our organization also hosts accessible and sensory-friendly events, creating inclusive spaces where all children and families can engage comfortably. Additionally, we support families through our free medical equipment program, ensuring that essential resources are accessible to those in need.In my public speaking engagements, I share my journey as a young person striving for success despite a challenging background. I speak on overcoming obstacles, rising above circumstances, and the power of perseverance. My talks are designed to inspire and motivate audiences by highlighting how adversity can be transformed into opportunity. Our work has been recognized and featured in esteemed platforms such as Forbes, The Today Show, and Upworthy, highlighting our efforts and impact. We are also proud of our partnership with Colgate, which supports our mission and extends our reach.Honored with awards such as the Russ Berrie Award for Making a Difference and the 30 under 30 Trendsetter, my commitment to advocacy and inclusivity is affirmed through these recognitions. Our ultimate goal is to collaborate with major entertainment brands like Disney, Netflix, and others to bring these powerful characters and their stories to the screen, amplifying their voices and promoting inclusivity on a global scale.Certified in Nonprofit Financial Success by Cornell University, I am dedicated to driving our organization’s impact and sustainability. Inspired by my best friend’s experience and a passion for creating a more inclusive world, I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations.Let’s collaborate to champion inclusivity and make a lasting impact together.
