As a policy officer, I am committed to the upscaling of agroforestry in the Netherlands from LNV. The integration of trees in agriculture offers many advantages for people, animals and nature. By growing on an extra layer, there is room for a higher yield of, for example, nuts. Animals benefit from the shade provided by the trees and nutrients are used more efficiently by rooting through the soil.
