After 15 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, I made a pivotal decision to shift my career towards data, a field that I am truly passionate about. My time in the field, dealing with a variety of complex challenges, has reinforced my belief in the importance of accessing clean and reliable data to make the best possible decisions, as quickly as possible.Since 2022, I have had the opportunity to build a data service from the ground up within the Procurement department. The centralization of our procurement teams, spread across 6 countries and 4 divisions, working with 6 different ERPs, is built on the structuring of data. The goal is to standardize our processes, identify synergies, and strengthen our position when dealing with suppliers.Key Achievements:Created a consolidated supplier master database for Safran Electrical & Power by merging data from 6 ERPs and identifying shared supplier sites.Developed a unified Part Numbers database to identify common parts and optimize procurement.Centralized data in a SQL Datawarehouse with a unified architecture, ensuring daily updates and eliminating manual exports, making the data readily available to end users. We have successfully implemented robust and scalable architectures that optimize the deployment process, enhance sytem performance, and minimize downtime.Established a dedicated team to gather requirements and produce BI reports for a 170-person team, using DAX and M Language.Deployed two SaaS solutions: one for tracking procurement productivity (Sievo) and another for managing SRM/Sourcing/Contracting (Oalia).Created Python and SQL scripts to automate and optimize data processes. In my daily work, I focus on:Understanding end-user needs.Innovating and creating added value from data.Demonstrating financial gains and efficiency improvements.Building trust and creating opportunities to secure funding and resources.Fostering teamwork and creating job opportunities by surrounding myself with the right people.
