• Participates in technical research as well as purchase of hardware and software solutions for the company with a cost-effective orientation.• Responsible for the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of hardware/software and the different company infrastructure components. • Documents all IT technology related procedures and adheres to system standards, configurations, and infrastructure accordingly. • Participates actively in the full life-cycle of IT projects. Identifies and recommends new technologies that provide cost/technical benefits for the company.• Creates/manages network users and security access via AD and GP.• Monitor/maintain domain resources such as DNS and DHCP.• Installs new/rebuilds existing servers.• Configures hardware, software, storage, and services according to specific project/employee requirements.• Performs daily monitoring of all IT related systems to verify full availability and guarantee the redundancy in case of possible disaster recovery needs.• Verifies that all manual and automated scheduled operations are completed as planned including daily system backups.• Monitors/maintains hardware for all Linux systems located at the company's data center.• Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis to all servers and client computers.• Manages company phone/voicemail services as well as email system services.• Plans financial IT forecast, and manages/monitors IT budget spend for the calendar year.

• Troubleshoot, research, diagnose, document, and resolve technical issues surrounding the different trading platforms offered by the brokerage firm.• Log and track client calls, web tickets, chats, and emails using an in-house designed trouble ticket software.• Detect and escalate any software flaws or coding errors to the correspondent developers.

• Troubleshoot, research, diagnose, document, and resolve technical issues surrounding Windows NT, MS Office, email, Internet connections, and hardware/peripherals.• Provide user account creation/management, permissions, groups, and security for several databases and services.• Log and track calls using a trouble ticket software application (HEAT).• Escalate service requests to second and third tier support staff as appropriate.• Resolve on average, 20%, of all service requests received by the IT department.• Provide detailed weekly reports and statistical data.• Work with student workers and Help Desk manager to make sure that all new Help Desk procedures are implemented and maintained.
