Reporting directly to Sumitomo México's President, I was co-leader for originating new businesses in Mexico and Central America and of supporting and coordinating collaboration among all business departments.We lead in promoting business development from a Cross-Organizational perspective in descarbonisation, clean energies, mobility, e-commerce and food and agriculture.

My main responsibilities included:• Management of assets in the water sector in coordination with our teams in Japan, USA and Brazil and our international investment partners. • Preparation and review of budget and short and middle term business plans• Developing market and investment strategies in the energy and infrastructure sectors in coordination with our head offices• Ensuring effective negotiations in investment projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors• Identifying company-wide issues and proposing solutions to GM and President.My final satisfaction was to complete the divestment of our investments in the water sector (two BOT projects and one O&M company) coordinating teams in Japan, US, Brazil and Mexico.

Based on the above, my responsibilities included:- Identification and development of opportunities in the water sector, either in greenfield or brownfield stages under BOT or BOO schemes;- Local coordination of due diligence, support in negotiation with partners, financial entities, clients and other stakeholders for closing of contracts and resolution of issues.- Assets management, including attendance to technical committee meetings and follow up of contractual financial and technical performance.- Representing the company in the Board of Directors of our water business subsidiaries as Member of the Board.- Execution of market study for evaluation of our participation in renewable energy market, identifying synergies and opportunities for applying our integrated corporate strength;- Local coordination of due diligence in potential projects as well as support in evaluation and selection of technical, financial and legal advisers;

Promotion for trading of industrial equipment to the capital goods industry.Succeeded in making the sale in Mexico of a power transformer made by the Brazilian subsidiary of a recognized Japanese manufacturer. Customer was a Spanish contractor for an EPC contact with CFE.Development and coordination of EPC projects among consortium parties.Especially, coordinating contractual issues between Sumitomo and a Mexican industrial boiler manufacturer in several contracts for the sale of boilers to the Aruba power utility.

- In charge of trading of steel tube, pipe, plate and sheet mainly for the Mexican capital goods industry. Scope included negotiation of purchase orders price and terms and conditions with clients, coordination of shipments with our Head office and securing payment.- Achieved first export of steel products for the Steel department in Mexico, negotiating price, shipment and payment conditions with a Mexican steel mill and coordinating delivery to client in Brazil.- Supported the establishment of our steel service centre in Querétaro, coordinating locally the market study and site identification.- Started the first inventory business for the Steel Department for the sale of steel sheet in blanks to an automotive spare parts manufacturer under JIT scheme.
