As an intern with the Delaware National Guard, I assist in overseeing the management of energy expenses, utility bills, and the maintenance of building assets across the state of Delaware. My role involves ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource utilization for all facilities under the Guard's jurisdiction.

As a Guardsmen for Delaware, I report to my unit in Seaford, DE one weekend each month. My job is aMotor Transport Operator, we supervise and operate wheeled vehicles over all types ofterrain to safely transport cargo and troops.

This program at the University of Delaware prepares me to become an officer in the Army National Guard. It combines academic coursework in military science with hands-on training and leadership development activities.I take courses in military history, leadership, tactics, and ethics, alongside my regular college curriculum. We have a physical fitness training every week and leadership labs, where they practice our military skills.
