IT Consultant: I served several large corporations in the Chicago land area. For some of these clients, we provided network solutions for interoperability between AS400 and LAN Networks. We did Novell and Microsoft Installations plus SQL server, Exchange Server, Microsoft Proxy Server and Citrix Installations. We did installations of Cisco, Compaq, HP and many other industry leaders’ hardware products. I have personally obtained authorizations for all the products we sell and install.

While at CS&C I consult in several new Chicago Public School (CPS) Computer LAN/WAN Projects; these projects often started at ground zero. With the school not built jet, we at CS&C Consult the School’s Principal and architect on the best network design. These designs included Computer Labs and classroom installations.We design and project plan installation of data cabling and electrical to support a good network infrastructure. Sales, Installation, Training and support followed all our projects.In the private sector, CS&C had several small and midsize clients including Law Firms, Doctor Offices, manufacture companies etc. We provided all computer related services to these companies including design, sales, installation, maintenance and training.

Cesar Lopez implemented several Novell Netware Networks. Each of these Networks served as departmental office automation systems. These small intercompany Networks replaced an existing outdated DEC Mainframe System. Each Department had a tailor solution ready to meet their needs – some networks implementations aided sales forecast while other networks helped with scheduled production in the main manufacturing plant. Even more, all designed implementations improve communications among the sales staff. Cesar Lopez worked in a total of 25 Network designs, and implementations throughout the Enterprise Company. Each Project was design to run with autonomous support with extra aid from the Business Technology Support Team Department. Cesar Lopez’s IT Department was designed as an Internal IT Consulting Company to the rest of Helene Curtis’ Divisions and Departments.

Educated at Loyola University in Chicago, Lopez helped create the first PC network center for the university before starting a 25-year IT career that has included working at Playboy Enterprises, Helene Curtis and Strata Marketing. He founded Best Networks, Inc. in 1997. Lopez, who is bilingual, is married, has three children, is involved in civic activities in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, and participates in networking and business groups throughout the city
