The years before this project, the cycling world suffered structural changes. The training was starting to be based on metrics and data to boost the efficiency and performance of the professional sportsmen.In the beginning, measuring devices were very expensive and only the professional elite of the sport was able to afford the cost. Years passed and technology increasingly got cheaper, several brands started to release their products for the general public.In this context, Bikone's project was framed. The objective was to generate a prototype to develop a new power measuring system embedded in the bicycle's bottom bracket.My main tasks were as follows:- Research different technologies to find the one that suits better to the available space, price, tightness, accuracy, and so on of the final device.- Benchmark solutions provided by different industries to similar contexts and difficulties. Besides, researching house-made prototypes and the industry state of the art.- Select and pick different approaches and solutions to test the finest one.- Integrate, and design the cover to test the equipment in different positions on a test bench.- Validate the results to track the most competent potentiometer integrated into a bicycle bottom bracket bearing in mind different aspects.

Dept. Customer Care & AftersalesI did an internship in the Aftersales department in Opel the year that changed the property of the company from GM to PSA. The Aftersales or Aftermarket department is key in the future ofautomobile manufacturers even though volumes are more reduced than in the line assembly as margins are much higher. Besides, there is a commitment from the companies to ensure more than ten years of available spare parts for their vehicles, which improves customer satisfaction and engagement, also extends the lifespan of the vehicles. My case corresponded with the Grandland X and Crossland X contracts, however, the acquisition of parts was so diverse that I even cooperate in purchasing Buick Kits.Functions associated with my position:- Monitoring parts and released parts- Identification of the product and its correlation with the serialized assembly- Technical clarifications with Engineering and strategic partners (PSA, Renault)- Submitting Request Form Quotations- Working together with Packaging Engineering- Procurement statistics- Joint collaboration with Aftersale’s engineers- Strict control and tracking of parts linked with car launches- Preparation of dossiers for incoming purchases and submitting their records to the AS engineers
