As Associate Director, he will oversee the daily operation of the Creighton Intercultural Center. He will lead the implementation of Creighton’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), coordinate cultural programming initiatives for graduate and professional schools and provide support for undergraduate programming. o Oversee staff (e.g., Assistant-level Director(s), Coordinator(s), Administrative Assistant) in the overall daily operation of the Creighton Intercultural Center in the Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion o Implement a comprehensive programming plan for faculty, staff, and graduate/professional studentso Advance the Division’s strategy by providing targeted support for faculty, staff, and graduate/professional students and will assist in the effective implementation of activities directed towards graduate students.o Responsible for the development and launch of new ERGs based upon employee needs.o Responsible for overseeing the development (e.g., identifying needs, creating content for important topics) and implementation (e.g., identifying/coordinating speakers, delivering content, assessing events) of targeted equity, diversity, and inclusion programming. o Assist in developing and delivering trainings on diversity & inclusion and specialized topics on minorities.

o Assist the center to further the University’s efforts in supporting gender initiatives with a focus on men and masculine identities of color (with a focus on African American and Hispanic/Latino males) in their retention, completion, and engagement within the university. o Development and implementation of the first ever Latino Living Learning Community at the University of North Texas. o Assist in the creation and facilitation of university-wide identity based heritage month celebrations such as Hispanic Heritage Month and the Inaugural Cesar Chavez Day of Service. o Advice minimum of two student organizations related to ethnicity/race, interfaith, sexual orientation, gender identity, and or/ disability, with a particular focus on those serving men an d masculine identities of color. o Contribute to the center by participating in professional organizations/associations such as the National Diversity Congress and the Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education.
