Enersave Renovables is a Mexican B2B solar company focused on building software and financial solutions to increase the adoption of solar energy in Mexico. I am spearheading the raise of a Series A SAFE and peso debt financing for distributed solar generation and energy storage for small and medium-sized businesses. This financing will fuel our expansion to meet our soaring demand from existing clients for clean, reliable, and affordable energy. I oversee finance, business development, strategy, operations, stakeholder relations and audit functions, with a focus on driving KPI performance to ensure rapid and profitable growth at Enersave Renovables, a spin-off of Enersave Energy Services.

As the founder and CEO of this financial and management advisory firm, I offer a wide range of advisory services to clients in diverse industries. My focus has been on securities fund structure, cross-border business expansion, and mergers and acquisitions. I began this financial and management advisory firm in 2012 led the organization until 2015, at which point the firm became inactive for the 7 years I worked at the IFC Asset Management Company. I recently reopened the firm and advise clients on diverse issues in the global marketplace.

The $1.2B CMF Fund, until recently, was part of the $12B IFC Asset Management Company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of a World Bank institution. As head of the fund, I oversaw all business operations, from networking with stakeholders to restructuring investment portfolios. The CMF focuses on expanding access to Mexican business opportunities for China-based teams, including energy, oil and gas, and telecommunications. I built my reputation as a leader with the energy to get things done, despite the fast-changing business landscape and internal culture challenges that stand in the way of success.Selected Achievements:- Researched and led $350M investment in 2 companies (a telecommunications and an energy company), both of which are successful to this day.- Co-led a $1.5B restructuring of a portfolio company, a feat that led to the 2023 Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Award from the TMA.- Transformed the culture at the fund to drive deal flow, leading the team to generate 200+ investment ideas (more than 80% of all deal flow at the fund). - Planned the fund’s divestiture from IFC to a global infrastructure fund manager. - Achieved market share growth for every company in the fund and retained 100% of investors, despite hostile and fast-changing political environment.

I built and later sold this startup micro-lending company. The company’s business model was based on lending small retail appliances, such as washing machines, to new entrepreneurs who did not have access to credit or other financial backing. We were able to secure strong interest rates on loans, with low installment payments for clients, enabling ongoing business growth throughout the marketplace. My efforts resulted in better-than-industry-average rates for both sales and nonperforming loans. I was able to get this business off the ground while simultaneously working on building and growing my financial advisory practice.

Zephyr has raised over $2.5 billion for investments in emerging markets. In Zephyr, with a focus on aligning investor and investee objectives, I jumped into a wide range of situations and transformed the way organizations did business, which stimulated not only growth for the companies in the portfolio, but also for Zephyr and her investor partners. I negotiated agreements with companies in diverse industries, from for-profit universities, to logistics firms, to outdoor clubs. Zephyr is a global investment management firm that targets emerging markets. Selected Achievements:- Acted as the interim CEO for Aerobal, the largest contract manufacturing company in Latin America (an organization of 500+). Took gross margins from -5% to 25% by expanding into private and white label products and reducing expenses. Coordinated company sale.- Opened and managed the new Zephyr Management office in Mexico City. Hired, trained, and supervised staff members. Built client base nearly from the ground up and provided consistent leadership during the 2008/2009 financial crises.- Raised $100M+ total between 2003 and 2007 as head of investor relations and capital raising. - Acted as CFO of a global branded food business (Ybarra). - Led the sale of a branded clothing company for 20+% IRR.
