I have been fortunately living exclusively on free and open source software consulting services since 1997. I am a free and open source software user since 1993 (actually, since 1984, but I didn't know at the time). While expanding my services and helping enterprises adopt more and more free software and agile methodologies I ended up hired as the Director of Community Engagement for Portuguese and Spanish speaking regions within the Linux Professional Institute, where I worked from 2016 until 2023.
