Methods used for automatic welding were CRC Evans, PWT and Proteus welding systems.• Study and detailed engineering of trenchless works; Microtunneling, HDD and thrust boring with relative selection of the most suitable equipment from within and outside the company (subcontracting). • Study and implementation of the methods and equipment for launching pipelines in reinforced concrete microtunnels and open-cut river crossings.• Drawing up of line and system testing programmes including drying operations and Kaliper pigging.• Management of cathodic protection and electro-instrumental activities.• Support in defining subcontracts.• Management of technical personnel involved in the various projects: welding inspectors, personnel in charge of electro-instrumental systems and hydraulic testing.
