Network Specialist
Current• Provide feedback and information to SME’s during troubleshooting and escalation process.• Monitoring all areas of responsibility to ensure all alarms are addressed.• Manage bridges and drive high and critical events to resolution.• Analysis and correlation of alarms received to aid in determining root cause and resolution of events.• Strong understanding of NOC tools. Well versed in all areas of responsibility• Strong understanding of NOC policies and procedures.• Able to work multiple events simultaneously to mitigate customer impact in a timely fashion.• Provide IT applications and network infrastructure support for locations in Amarillo, TX and Oakridge, TN.• Work based in a call center environment providing support for over 5,000 users located across two locations.• Support/troubleshoot database applications network infrastructure, Windows Server 2008/2012 OS and Citrix hosted applications.• Windows Server 2008/2012 administration, monitoring and tuning.• Identifies network problems, isolates root causes, and initiates corrective action.• Write and update knowledge-base articles• Interacts with network and hardware engineers as well as system and database administrators regarding network/system activities and outages.• Utilize Solar Winds monitoring software to monitor network infrastructure.• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS and internet protocols• Knowledge of network troubleshooting, traceroute, and ping. • Works with the most current technologies and ensures that our network and systems are fully maintained and operational.• Provides technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develops strategies to restore or activate services.• Creates accurate and detailed documentation to record resolution activities.• Monitor and manage communications during large-scale events.
