I worked on the team that designed and developed the TIMining Aware product, which is the first to materialize the digital twin concept in the mining industry. It consists of a platform that leverages and increases the capabilities of the company's previous products. It integrates the mine's information in real time on a 3D visualization, so that it improves its understanding and facilitates better and timely decision making. I worked in the development of the client applications, for desktop and mobile devices. I developed some tools related to geometric processing used in servers. In conceptualization stage, I developed prototypes using augmented reality with HoloLens headset, whose impact facilitated capital raising.

Research and development of innovative solutions for the mining industry based on information technologies.• I contributed in several of the company's software products, incorporating, improving and maintaining computational geometry and 3D visualization tools, programmed in C++. I also advised on issues related to electronics.• I participated in the conceptualization, design and development of Tangram, a software to manage, visualize and analyze geotechnical-structural information, which improves the productivity of routine geomechanics. Certain jobs that used to take a geomechanic two weeks to do can be done in minutes with Tangram. I conceived the algorithms to predict and characterize potential slope instabilities from mapped structures, particularly; flat faults and wedges bounded by two planar structures. I implemented the geometric calculation and visualization kernels, which were used in other products.• In Tangram 2.0, I contributed to making it the most advanced software of its kind in the industry. I incorporated algorithms that allow robust detection of the 3D geometry of all unstable blocks, outcropping and non-outcropping, generated by multiple structures and arbitrary geometries. Added rigorous calculation of slip direction, factor of safety and probability of failure, considering force and moment equilibrium conditions. I incorporated the ability to simulate the resulting slope upon removal of the unstable blocks.• I developed prototypes of Augmented Reality applications using mobile devices and AR/VR glasses to research and promote the use of this technology in mining applications. This work led to inspire the conception of TIMining Aware, the company's current flagship product.• I had the opportunity to work with several multidisciplinary teams, using agile methodologies, occasionally working simultaneously with several teams, in different projects.

Consultant in the research project FONDECYT 1085095: "Field study of atmospheric dust devils in northern Chile". I contributed to formulate a software solution for the geometric and dynamic study of the phenomenon, based on 3D modeling of dust devils and parameter estimation using computer vision techniques.

I was part of the R&D team of the FONDEF TE04I1013 project, "VICE Development Platform", focused on interactive visualization technologies to modernize and support the teaching of mathematics in secondary education. I designed and implemented the interactive 3D visualization core of the platform (C++, VTK). The VICE platform was highlighted as one of the "70 Success Stories of Innovation and Science between 2000 and 2008" by the Ministry of Economy and the most relevant Chilean institutions related to science and innovation

I made improvements in a simulator for tactical training at the Chilean Navy Submarine School. I increased the performance of the simulator and improved the realism of the visualization by developing more accurate 3D models of ships.

I participated in the team that developed a submarine simulator for tactical training at the Chilean Navy Submarine School, characterized by using a real periscope in which a realistic 3D computer-generated simulation is displayed, and emulation of the different command consoles of the submarine. I implemented the software module that displays textured 3D models in the simulator. I developed custom software to capture information from 2D paper maps, with which I generated 3D models of large tracts of land.

My bachelor's thesis was a relevant part of the research project FONDECYT 1970955. I designed and developed a software for the analysis and design of electrochemical cells with floating bipolar electrodes, oriented to copper electro-winning processes, which uses Scientific Visualization techniques for the interactive analysis of the data. I generalized a model to obtain the three-dimensional distribution of electric potential and current density field. I devised a rigorous way to estimate the potential of floating electrodes, which were previously incalculable. I optimized a finite-difference method, thus speeding up the calculations.
