I started up two retail stores in Sao Paulo (Downtown -2010 and Shopping D Mall – 2011), with an innovative concept for women’s fashion. By that time, I was leading a workforce of 11 direct employees and 20 indirect and annual gross sales of R$200,000 by mid-2012.In 2012, I sold the downtown store to start a franchising operation. The reason for this transaction was a) fund raising to support the mall store’s payback/amortization and b) franchising concept testing, with eyes on expanding the business through this sort of operation.Self-taught in this area, I also was directly involved in product development, mold development and adaptation.  Key achievementsXtorm’s concept faced great success during the last seven years, culminating in two retail stores in São Paulo within a “5 years / 5 stores” business plan. I developed strong relationships with fabric makers, wholesalers, sewing companies and, also, with other retail stores through Private Label production.
