My Why is to galvanize leaders so that we all live life by design. I do this by sharing the tools and concepts that helped me grow and sell my business to live a purposeful life.When I was 24, I left Venezuela and a secure job at Procter and Gamble (P&G) to move to the United States, get married, and start a business, all at the same time. I was young and ready to take on the world. How tough could it be?I banged my head against the wall constantly to solve problems in a new industry and country. The solutions weren’t always elegant when they worked. Despite these challenges—some self-imposed—I made it through those early days and grew the business to the limit of my potential to over $1.5M in revenue. Then, looking to grow further, I started to reach out to small business groups to network and grow as a leader.In 2008, I joined the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) in South Florida and quickly learned about the importance of collective wisdom the power of peers. My business thrived, but I grew resentment to the fact that I was working so hard with little to show for. In 2011, I did an MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program that allowed me to upskill tactically, and a Why Discovery that uncovered my purpose in life and I realized that my products, services, and processes weren’t what motivated me. Instead, it was helping others—empowering my company’s leaders—to live a better life.I started focusing on my team. At the same time, I continued implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), and the six key components that enables us to build a business by design. This system doubled our revenues in 1 year and allowed me to move out of the day to day of my business. Which I ended up selling to two people in my leadership team in 2017 to fully pursue my purpose and help other companies achieve what we had in our business.I’ve helped 100+ companies implement EOS since 2017 and assisted hundreds of entrepreneurs in unlocking their Why and Purpose. Today, I have a career that fits my Purpose. And I choose to work with clients who align with my core values: Share Vulnerably, Spark Action, Spread Passion, and Leverage Strengths. Put simply, I do things I love with people I love.
