University Transfer Center Specialist
Develop direct academic advising services in a one-on-one or group setting.Produce all aspects of the service delivery based on Transfer student needs and the mission and vision of the Transfer Center.Maximize materials, communication, and all logistics related to the Transfer Center, a vital arm of the Academic Advising Department.Coordinate campus-wide service and training as related to and representing the Academic Advising Department and Transfer student advising.Advise the Director in the preparation of complex comprehensive department plans, summaries, recommendations, progress or special reports, providing information specific to data and trends related to Transfer students.Research and analyze Department, college-wide, and national data related to Transfer Student advising and student success to identify program needs.Motivate and educate other advisors, staff, faculty, and students on research and best practices.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Transfer Center, including material and technology implementation and upkeep (e.g., scheduling platforms, computer presence and maintenance), publicity, and assessment.Case Management: Proactive outreach to students who are “flagged” based on the predictive analytics or criteria Bellevue College placed in the Student Success center of TargetX, as well as following up on Early Alerts for students based on Faculty submissions. Academic Advisors provide referrals, resources, and options for next steps. For Academic Advisors, case management is done within their designated Bellevue College Pathway and also includes outreach to students in that Pathway via email, text, or other means.
