Yape Lending:Responsible for profitability strategy, including credit risk management, collections & pricing● Proposed and implemented changes in product configuration and loan conditions that resulted in a 3x increase in unit profit margins.● Alongside efforts to aggressively expand loan placement, worked to fine-tune lending guidelines, expanding loan offers 4x and penetrating new segments.● Joint founder of 4 cross-discipline teams, working with internal and external stakeholders to target and ramp up Yape’s loan efforts. Developed and implemented an effective governance structure for each team.● Led the profitability strategy for Yape loans to evaluate and implement optimizations in tech, pricing, collections and risk-management.● Worked to create the foundation for new product launches, including multi-installment loans.

Yape Lending:Responible for credit risk management & collections.● Developed and implemented tracking capabilities and KPIs for new credit products, bolstering Yape’s capacity to quickly revise credit guidelines to align with market conditions, reducing amendment times from 90 to 39 days.● Developed and implemented proprietary collections strategies, including the use of machine learning models for pre-emptive collection communications.● Pooled efforts with teams in different areas of the organization to drive financial inclusion via social media platforms; secured funding for a series of Youtube videos on good borrowing practices, which amassed over 4mm views, and to hold workshops to better understand the barriers women face when accessing credit.
