Kaizen event: Improved base level cleanliness of ISO 9001 cleanroom. A special task force was assigned to me after completion of my audit findings. Multiple departments involved. Infographics implemented. Quality audits integrated. New training implemented to increase learning and engagement, trained supervisors, and day/night staff for the purpose of increasing quality in the cleanroom. Training involved a gamified presentation and a guided walkthrough into the cleanroom where employees were encouraged to think in a kaizen mentality of self-motivated improvement/investigation in their environment. For the first time, since I joined, employees showed high engagement and excitement after piloting the new training format. Owned the lathes and mills safety training of engineers. Implemented the buddy system and taught fundamentals of machining, ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. Regularly provided guided supervision to engineers and scientists during machining activities.Greatly reduced product waste by 33% on a 3-axis CNC machine by researching features and consulting the CNC manufacturer. Optimized cuts and increased yield. Trained operators on the new method and software command path.Led the NPI expansion of a silicon free product. Accurately projected production numbers using learning curves and COGS. Drove the design and improvement of GD&T in tooling and closely worked with our machinist at the manufacturing stage. Main components were milled using a CNC machine and mated subcomponents I manually milled within spec. IQ/OQ/PQ followed together with continuous improvement on the existing procedure.Co-led a material science investigation on the performance of a RFI/EMI product. Explored different manufacturing methods and validated improvement findings using D.O.E.s on Minitab. A publication-ready document was presented to management. For a thorough investigation, alternative materials were explored within OSHA and ISO 9001 compliance.
