I am a human being project. Trained at the University of Copenhagen, I have spent the last 20 years dedicated to advancing land and natural resources management in rural Mozambique. My work has been instrumental in establishing effective community governance systems and securing community land rights, which are essential to achieving conservation and development objectives.Besides being a community facilitator, I have honed my expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation, GIS, land use planning, and data analysis. These skills have not only supported project implementation but have also led to the creation of tools and policies that enhance community engagement in sustainable natural resource management and secure land rights for communities. I continue acting as a sponge, as I am committed to learn everyday.As the Executive Director of ReGeCom, I leverage the power of collective action to establish national standards that bolster community-led conservation efforts. My commitment to data-driven decision-making inspired me to co-found Data4Moz, a company dedicated to empowering informed decision-making through comprehensive data analysis.I am fortunate to be surrounded by the region’s stunning landscapes, which fuel my passion for outdoor activities such as beekeeping and mountain biking. I remain deeply committed to promoting sustainable development and ensuring that communities are at the heart of conservation and development initiatives in Mozambique, and around the world.
