1) I count over thirty years of experience, out of which ten years were with Hilton International and ten years with the Oberoi Hotels.2) I have experience in the opening of seven hotels, both in Sri Lanka and abroad.3) I have also played a key role in the development of the Culinary Sector nationally, and bringing Sri Lanka to international recognition.4) After serving in the capacity of Executive Chef in two leading hotel chains, the Hilton and Oberoi, I acquired both the required skills and knowledge in managing the operations of the Food & Beverage sector.5) As at now, I possess over 14 years of experience holding the position of General Manager, having served in two best resort properties The Club Palm Bay, Marawila and Riverina Hotel, Beruwela in Sri Lanka, and the Beach Luxury Hotel in Karachi, Pakistan.6) My experience in handling over 350 guests and 250 staff when the Tsunami struck the Riverina Hotel, Beruwela (Sri Lanka) on 26th December 2004, is a memorable example of good leadership.7) I also have ‘hands-on’ experience in the Refurbishment and Restoration Projects of Riverina Hotel, which is the largest resort hotel in Sri Lanka. 8) Riverina Hotel under my leadership was also awarded the prestigious Presidents Award for Travel & Tourism 2007 as the Winner in the 4 Star Hotel Category. .Specialties: Dealing and handling people, Customer Service Orientation,Change Management, Communication, Visionary Leadership,Adaptability,Technical/Professional knowledge, Innovation and Creativity, Strategic Leadership, Teamwork, Developing Organizational Talent, Culinary expertise• Individual Leadership
