Welcome everyone. I’m Black woman “of a certain age” with many stories to tell. I’ve had an eclectic career, from VP of Diversity Communications at a major bank to TV personality and many jobs in between, but at the center of all I do is storytelling. I was born and raised in South LA with family still in the area.I consider myself a storyteller and communications expert. I strongly believe that we learn more and connect better as humans through sharing our stories. My mission is to help people actually talk to one another. Here’s how…I’m the Founder of “Pop-Up Storytelling for Organizations,” a program for co-workers to connect and collaborate through storytelling. After 20 years in corporate life feeling unheard and making myself small, I started the Pop-Up series as a way to help others amplify their voices. It’s been so meaningful to see folks bring their stories to life, because YOUR STORY MATTERS. And it’s time that we create more spaces in our lives to share them.🎤 I’m also an award-winning speaker, writer, and singer. My favorite word in all my stories is “Hope.” I often show up as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, or your next-door neighbor with a good story to tell.
