My area covers:-liaising with suppliers for the development of new products, improving existing ones and keeping products under the agreed (and constantly verified) specifications- checking labels compliance, under FIR/EU and CFR21/US requirements, and looking after product/suppliers certifications and procedures- auditing potential or current supplier facilities and assess non conformities to relevant standards (BRC, IFS, ISO9001, ORGANIC, ...)- providing reports to the purchases manager to reduce SKUs avg inventory days, minimise "out of stock" events and recommend (appropriately aggressive) promotions on items likely to expire in warehouse- making sure that suppliers comply with the FSMA regulation

The cooperative produces Piccolo cherry tomatoes for UK (Waitrose, Sainsbury’s), Germany (Aldi) and Switzerland (Coop, Migros) growing in 135 greenhouses distributed over 15 production sites.I’ve been involved in the creation of a traceability system from seed to waste and a crop production forecast system as well as its coordination among the sales director and the grower team.The forecast system was an excel based report gathering information from sales and crop registrations that helped the sales manager to finely tune transplanting in different production sites at different time to adhere to customers purchase programs allowing to minimise shortages as well as weekly assessing the impact of eventual accidents 2-3 weeks ahead.My excel skills also allowed me to be involved with a coordinating role into purchases (quantification of needs in term of seeds, plants, plastic film, growing substrates, …, was largely under my responsibility), data analysis on gas/electricty consumption and other output, cash flow and wherever I could exploit data gathered for other purposes.My area covered also the implementation of certifications such as GlobalGap (opt.2), GRASP, ISO 9001, HACCP, LEAF-UK, BRC
