I launched ATAB in Greece under the ATAB US umbrella.

Mission: To bring down intelligence capability to ground level..push it farther down so that even a basic army unit like the Section/Platoon is intelligence enabled , can gather actionable intelligence on its own in tight tactical situations without waiting for information from higher HQs..Secondly RSTA teams will be intelligence enabled..acting as a force multiplier for the combat units back at the bases..what with the RSTA teams getting much more information due to the modular int plugged in it and hence reporting back to based with richer , timely , accurate and specific intelligence.CI is highlighted as most important..the endeavour of CFET will be to create CI Dets but with a difference..deception will be given prime importance in addition to OPSEC-- a cloak of secrecy can deter any enemy intelligence endeavour..and this secrecy can be heightened with deception/OPSEC.In fact all these 3 must be integrated into one.Apart from this CI TTPs , collection management , information priorities will be taught configured both to standard conventional battles and COIN.We are nowadays fighting battles not wars.Apart from intelligence resources , which is always limited..hence the need for ISR synchronization..the standard soldier on the ground can very well act as a sensor with little training..can be trained to conduct tactical questioning during daily routine patrols or during raids , search and rescue ops or cordon and search operations.Even the MP can offer valuable intelligence.Apart from SIGINT , technical overhead and land based ISR systems are sometimes lacking in efficiency..say for example line of sight probs in dense urban areas with buildings or canopies in a thick jungle.HUMINT is the need of the hour..supported by SIGINT.. and protected by Counterint.Ops must be integrated with Intel..a whole..not just component parts.Collection management composed of precise requirements definition , asset management , report writing , dissemination have to be taught.

Along with Admiral Peter Kikareas (NATO , presently retired) he is the administrator of two on line courses in Intelligence and Counterintelligence.This is an ATAB endeavour to impart quality intelligence training to both Intelligence oifficers as well as responders , a part of the course so designed so as to aquaint the latter with Terrorist indicators , pre-attack terrorist surveillance(dry runs),terrorist profiling and CARVER.The counterintelligence course also covers the TACHUMINT concept.The very important concept of I&W is dealt with thoroughly.
