Ft Carson

Former Target Systems Mechanic for range control. I am currently working at the convoy live fire range. I am one member of a two man team in charge of the maintenance and repair of target system devices on the range. I coordinate with Unit OICs/RSOs before, during and after ensuring proper use of the range. I conduct safety inspections on the unit using the range ensuring a smooth and safe time for the soldiers.

Supervised an international guard force numbering 24-36. Maintained personnel records of the guard force for contract authority requirements to include: Copies of passports, background investigations, and weapons qualifications. Supervised perimeter security as well as internal security checkpoints covering commercial vehicle inspection, vehicle inspections, and pedestrian traffic looking to gain entry into secure areas of the International Zone and other locations in Iraq. Served eight years in the Army, five of those I spent as a Non-Commissioned Officer. Duties included: monthly performance counseling of soldiers I was assigned, recommendations for promotion, and awards. Scheduled my soldiers’ approval for leave. Oriented new soldiers and their families to their new duty station and job within the unit. Looked after their overall well-being, overcoming the hardships of multiple combat deployments and in being back in garrison. Assigned as the Brigade’s Senior Sniper due to my operational experience, and my number of successful combat missions. Selected, trained and evaluated six soldiers in advanced marksmanship, small unit tactics, land navigation, and field craft to attend US Army Sniper School at Ft. Benning, GA with a 100% graduation rate.
