I am looking for a part-time paid Information specialist, administrative or office role within easy reach of Epsom.I currently work as a volunteer visitor gallery assistant at Dorking Museum – a vibrant and constantly evolving town museum. I provide a customer service role to the many people visiting the museum. I handle sales and admissions and general reception duties. I am also a member of the oral history team at the museum listening and recording people's experiences of businesses and work in the Dorking area or their experiences of WW2. Reviewing the recordings and selecting sound clips to add to the oral history web pages.All are very enjoyable roles but I seek paid work as well! More on this……I am an experienced information specialist and administrator who has worked over a number of years in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. With a high degree of customer focus, I have liaised daily with both internal clients and the public assisting them with a variety of information needs. I have undertaken tasks that require report writing proposing improvements to services as well as performing roles that require close attention to detail and accurate data entry on a variety of systems. I have particular expertise in information retrieval – helping clients quickly find material for specific tasks or projects and always following through to resolution. I am experienced in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. In both permanent and temporary assignments I have been successful in quickly adapting to company systems and protocols.
