My job as a marketer is more than commercials, brand logos & jingles. Marketing is a set of tools that can be strategically deployed to solve business & Consumer problems. I approach marketing by using my engineering training & love of data to clearly define what barriers stand in the way of brand growth or Consumer satisfaction. Only after defining impediments, will I design a marketing campaign that systematically removes those barriers & accelerates sales. I take inspiration from Charles Kettering, a pioneering engineer of the auto industry and holder of 186 patents, who said – “A problem well defined is a problem half solved.” Here's examples of the business challenges I’ve solved by IDing the barriers inhibiting growth & successfully using marketing tools to address: ✅ Captured 30% $-share of car air freshener market within 6 mo of launching Febreze Car, which delivered on the promise of sustaining a light, fresh scent that actually removes odors instead of just masking them. ✅ Increased Mr. Clean’s visibility in the cleaning category with a 2017 Super Bowl commercial that generated +8B impressions, #1 social media share of voice, & was voted T10 super bowl commercial by USA Today.✅ Led Mr. Clean turnaround by ID'ing that Consumers needed more educational advertising to learn how, when, why and where to use a Magic Eraser as part of their regular cleaning routine.
