    Lead Infrastructure and Software Architect for IBM Research Compute Cloud version 3.x (RC2 v3). Provided software component and infrastructure (server, networking, storage) architecture, design and implementation based on IBM’s CCMP (Common Cloud Management Platform) as well as new IBM Tivoli HSLT Product (still in beta) integration. Lead a team of 20+ developers, administrators, and architects. Provided overall development project leadership including team and individual roles as well as project road map and planning. Optimized and consolidated Research’s raised floor space. Introduced emerging Research technologies to optimize cooling and power including the use of high-resolution weather data to optimize data center free cooling. Lead the development of the biggest IBM’s virtualized infrastructure, which lead to the formation of the IBM Research Compute Cloud. The team provided many levels of contributions to many Research projects including IBM Blue Gene, IBM System S (IBM InfoSphere Platform), IBM Research Speech technology, IBM Research Compute Cloud, and IBM Jeopardy.

Lead architect and lead developer for the Ambience Performance Modeling Research project funded by AMS/Research Institute. Adopted current industry performance engineering concepts and methodologies with new emerging technologies developed by the Ambience Performance Modeling team and incorporated these technologies into the architecture and design of the Eclipse plug-in Ambience tool. The tool provides performance engineer practitioners with a tool to model the application infrastructure, predict performance, and perform scaling analysis based on statistical data including end-to-end response time and aggregated system utilization. Architected and designed tool using the Eclipse Modeling Framework and the Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework to facilitate interoperability with future Rational and SWG Eclipse/WSWB tooling. Presented the technology and the tool at the IBM PLTE 2004 conference in Orlando, FL as part of the infrastructure track (INF-060).
