During this stint, I oversaw group finance and led SAP ERP optimization project along with the initiation & implementation of SAP HCM (HR) & BW (Reporting) modules. Moreover I managed banking relations, cash flows, redesigned & standardized budget and financial reports, prepared & presented audited financials to the board; also played a key role in reorganizing warehouse, leading due diligence, and planning & executing of exit strategy for unviable business segments/territory.

During this stint, I headed group finance and was part of the high level steering committee for strategic business decisions to drive the group through recession in cost optimization projects and revamping budgeting process. Furthermore I initiated monthly management summit with core management group, redefined credit & collections process, restructured finance organization and handled business process re-engineering before SAP ERP implementation.

As Finance Controller, I headed the finance function and developed a financial model for focussed discussion on key business parameters; also set-up finance functions, financial systems & budgeting processes from scratch after acquiring new business in North-east Africa and prepared financial feasibility reports of proposed expansion projects outside Kuwait.

Here, I headed the division’s finance function and managed operations of the finance department while overseeing monthly accounts, management reporting, budgeting, quarterly reviews, accounts receivables, control over fixed assets, and internal/ external audits; also increased effectiveness by re-evaluating internal controls across functions & integrating MIS across sections.

Here, I headed F&A department and handled operations & finance functions while leading expansion initiatives through new store operations, inventory analysis, sales & margins; also handled monthly accounts, management reporting, budgeting, reviews, banking, AP/AR, control over fixed assets, and audits. Furthermore, I restructured business, migrated data/ records to SAP system and prepared plan for new sub-franchisee operation in Mauritius while preparing economic value added reports & SOPs.
