My name is Conor Furlong, and I am a third year informatics student at Indiana University. I would like to say I am a glass half-full kind of person, I try to look at every situation with a positive mindset. Thankfully that mindset has allowed me to be flexible, a great leader, and understanding. Being a positive leader has aided me as a counselor with 40 kids, and being a captain for a very strong swim and dive program. Along with that I am involved in the little 500, which is a philanthropic event held by the Indiana University student foundation. I am on the little 500 riders council, and captain of my fraternity cycling team. Being a captain of my fraternity team allow me to converse and plan ahead with all my teammates, as well as other members in the community.With that mindset I am pretty open in the business field, whether it be analytics or programming, just having a positive mindset will lead me to where I am supposed to go. With that being said, having a positive mindset and being a leader in the business field will definitely help with communication and overall respect with my fellow companions. With my mind set I'm able to motivate myself, put a smile on my face and get out there. With that smile on my face that motivates others around me was totally helpful in the business world. Being able to just be positive allows minimal conflicts with people around me, with that you're able to give trust and I'm big on trust.Throughout my life I've always been working as a team Weatherby with counselors, lifeguards, or even classmates. I've always been bringing energy, respect, and hard work to the table. Even in college I have been able to converse with my friends, my classmates, and even my teachers. With all my experiences throughout school, relationships, and work I have improved all my important skills to work in a team and meet deadlines.
