Personal Experience Driving ResearchMy journey into design and technology began not in a lecture hall, but in my grandfather’s living room. As a key caregiver after a big fall, I saw firsthand how technologies and environments can either empower or frustrate those navigating health challenges. Watching his world become smaller due to rigid systems sparked a passion in me: to explore how human-computer interaction, accessibility, and adaptive environments can support well-being.I’m not captivated by technology for technology’s sake. What drives me is a vision of innovation that adapts to people, fostering independence and resilience rather than demanding conformity. Picture a world where devices, homes, and healthcare spaces dynamically respond to individual needs—a future where technology and design empower dignity and autonomy. That’s the future I want to help create.Academic and Professional BackgroundMy diverse background in healthcare, technology, and design equips me with the tools to navigate complexity and create impactful solutions. At Clemson University, my early HEOR research explored how sensory stimuli influence heart rate variability in dementia caregivers, deepening my understanding of how environments and technologies interact with human behavior. This work ignited my drive to blend research and innovation to address real-world challenges.Over six years in healthcare systems, I’ve worked across clinical research, quality improvement, and product development. At CVS Health, I developed digital health solutions that improved patient engagement and medication adherence for many users. I also led augmented reality pilots that boosted behavior change outcomes and created a novel evidence-base (my favorite activity). These projects honed my skills in research methodologies, project management, and stakeholder collaboration, and fueled my interest in using AI and design to create adaptive systems. As a strategist at LINUS Group, I conducted over 350 interviews with biotech leaders (bench to C-Suite), translating insights into actionable product roadmaps. My work consistently bridges disciplines—combining strategic foresight, human-centered design, and technological innovation to create meaningful impact. Whether piloting tools like CGAdvocacy, an AI-powered policy analysis platform, or envisioning adaptive systems for chronic care, I thrive at the intersection of research, design, and execution.
