Accountable for the effective and efficient provision, and continuous improvement, of academic services to the University. Responsible for the strategic leadership, change management, and coordination of theservices provided by the following teams: - Academic Partnerships- Distance Learning Operations- Quality Office- Student Immigration Advice and Compliance- Student Records- Student Services Centre; and,- Timetabling, Examinations and Room Bookings.The role requires close working with stakeholders across the University to develop the academic administration and deliver continuous service improvements. Responsible for major student lifecycle change projects covering all aspects of policy, process, systems,organisational design, and stakeholder engagement; including implementation of a new institution-wide teaching and examination timetabling system and progression management systems.

Management of a series of University level projects which aim to simplify and streamline student and teaching-related administrative processes by eliminating duplication and minimising the bureaucracy of administrative functions.Joint responsibility for the University's Student HESA return and ILR (FE) return including the data quality / consistency of information across student related data returns and outputs.Data analysis and provision of Management Information.Responsibility for the Academic Registry IT budget and strategy.University group membership:- University's Data Management Group- University's Human Resources Committee- University's IT Committee- University's Health, Safety and Environment Committee (Secretary)- Academic Registry Senior Management Team- Student Administration Management Team- Student Information Steering Group (Secretary)- Student Portal Steering Group (Secretary)

Management responsibility for the Student Records Team (14 members of staff) and activities undertaken by staff within this business area, including:- Graduation- Student Examinations- Student Records- Student related statutory returns (HESA, HESES, TTA, ILR)- System design and implementation- Business process engineering/re-engineeringResponsibility for financial budgets for the above areas.

Full operational responsibility and management of Loughborough University UK and International Degree Ceremonies including accountability for budget (circa £200k) and line management responsibility of the Graduation Team.Responsibility for the Further Education Individualised Learner Record statutory return.Partial responsibility for the University's Student HESA statutory return.Production of management information for the purposes of planning and monitoring.Operational responsibility for institutional Data Protection and Freedom of Information compliance.Business analysis and business process engineering.Group membership:- Loughborough University Student Information System Steering Group (e.g. project board)- Secretary to the University Honorary Degrees Committee and University Medal Committee.

Responsible for planning and operational management of:- annual registration/re-registration of all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students (circa 12000 students).- examination process for all taught students of the University (circa 70,000 individual examinations per annum), including management of the examination team.- statutory return of registered undergraduate students to the Student Loan Company (to ensure circa £23m SLC tuition fee income per annum).Management of the day to day activities of the Student Records and Examinations Office and the Student Enquiries desk. Including staff review and development.

Design, maintenance and enhancement of the University's central online information resources.Responsibility for the production, development and maintenance of online marketing materials (e.g. prospectus/course directory).Monitoring of web statistics/analytics to inform future development.Assisting with the University General Open Days.

Working on contract with T-Mobile to support their top-up voucher business.
