Board member and SMF3/19 since SMCR regime inception and responsible for design and delivery of key internal and UK regulatory projects (c.$3bn revenues and 3,000+ perm staff in London).Highlighted accomplishments:-➤ Drove the UK response to Group strategy reviews and led the development of a CSi End State Strategy to deliver a refined and profitable business model and a clear role for the entity within the Group. ➤ Contributed significantly to returning entities to profitability in 2018 and 2019 (having lost c$1bn in 2014), leading the successful execution of eight sub-projects, with minimal operational risk incidents. ➤ Drove the dialogue with the PRA regarding the repatriation of over $20bn capital by end 2023, a key component of CS Group’s capital management strategy from 2015 – 2023.➤ Successfully led multiple strategic cross-divisional, cross-functional projects in the UK, including setting up a program generating cost savings over the targeted $230m.➤ Established and co-chaired the Risk Enhancement Program established in response to Archegos in Q1 2021.➤ Chaired and Sponsored the Group’s cross-business and cross-functional Structured Notes Remediation Program, establishing and leading a team to address significant long-standing unresolved issues. Responsible, with co-Heads of EMEA Investment Banking, for all aspects of strategic planning and execution, financial performance and business management. Direct reports included EMEA group COOs, CFO, CAO, Head of Risk & Controls and Head of Human Resources and several colleagues performing specialist roles. Directly responsible for most of the day-to-day aspects of managing the business.

Global COO for Investment Banking & remained EMEA COO - revenues of c. $4-5bn & 3,000 bankers. Additional responsibilities (on top of being responsible for strategic planning and execution, financial performance, and all aspects of business management) included running Global IBD Management Committees, working with Global IBD Heads of Human Capital and Resourcing, liaising with Global COOs in other businesses, and developing IBD responses to initiatives.Highlighted accomplishments:-➤ Drove the strategy to reshape the EMEA Investment Bank and preserve the best franchises and options as markets rebounded on differing cycles.➤ Managed a 20% - 30% reduction in bankers at MD and Director level for a swifter return to profitability.➤ Redesigned analysis aiding the assessment of alignment of Equity Research coverage.➤ Enhanced the focus on risk and controls by the global leadership group and bankers.

From 1998-2000, worked on pan-European M&A transactions and new business initiatives. In 1999, appointed COO for the European M&A Group and was deeply involved in the integration of DLJ which CS had just acquired. From 2001-2004, responsible for origination and execution of M&A business with Consumer clients and completed multiple transactions for key clients including Heineken, Novartis and Nestle. The franchise was number one ranked consumer M&A team between 2000 and 2002.

Worked on UK and pan-European corporate finance transactions and new business initiatives. Seconded for 9 months to a joint venture between BZW and Kleinwort Benson to advise the UK Government on the US$6bn secondary offering for National Power and PowerGen.
