In 1999, appointed COO for the European M&A Group and was deeply involved in the integration of DLJ which CS had just acquired. From 2001-2004, responsible for origination and execution of M&A business with Consumer clients and completed multiple transactions for key clients including Heineken, Novartis and Nestle. The franchise was number one ranked consumer M&A team between 2000 and 2002.

Worked on UK and pan-European corporate finance transactions and new business initiatives. Seconded for 9 months to a joint venture between BZW and Kleinwort Benson to advise the UK Government on the US$6bn secondary offering for National Power and PowerGen.
