Prepared patent applications for chemical and computer software inventions. Analyzed client portfolio and prior art, finding opportunity to file defensive patent application. Wrote appeal brief for a case before the Opposition Division of the European Patent Commission. Answered office action in international patent application. Coordinated with domestic assignee and multiple foreign associates to change inventorship of international patent applications. Drafted and filed trademark applications.

Prepared and submitted patent applications for medical, biochemical, and mechanical inventions. Consulted with inventors to protect U.S. and international property rights, and to explore licensing opportunities. Performed prior art searches, and validity and infringement analyses. Participated in licensing transactions, technology transfers, and development of marketing strategies. Analyzed patent family, finding freedom to operate over prior art

Interviewed physicians and nurses, and evaluated medical suitability of potential tissue donors. Supervised tissue recovery teams, participated in surgical recovery of cadaver tissues, and documented the recovery process.

On call 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Managed recovery of human organs and tissues. Performed surgical recovery of cadaver tissues. Assisted with sterile recovery of recovery of live organs for transplant. Coordinated air and ground transportation for all stages of tissue and organ recovery process.

Investigated the molecular mechanisms of glaucoma, using a rodent model. Independently designed experiments and interpreted results. Presented research results at international meetings.

Developed rodent model of glaucoma. Invented microinjection device to create rodent model, subsequently awarded U.S. Patent No. 5,364,374.
