I´m the founder and CEO of the Avila Spaces, an Office and Coworking Space based in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2004. Avila Spaces is the most awarded workspace in Portugal and is the leader of innovation in the flexible work spaces market in the country. The company offers a premium environment, with state-of-the-art technology, where companies are able to grow in a sustained and dynamic way. Avila Spaces currently has more than 600 national and international clients. It is also a member and a representative of the largest Business Centre and Coworking Space network in the world - eOffice International Network. This network has got more than 300 locations and it is based in the United Kingdom. Avila Spaces has its facilities in Lisbon, on Avenida da República and on Avenida João Crisóstomo.In 2010 we developed the 1st worldwide virtual office app for mobile devices – the "myOffice app".In 2011, 2014 and 2015, we won the Call Center Trophy for the answering quality in the virtual offices area. In 2012 we won a CIO Award, given by the International Data Corporation (IDC).In 2013 I was nominated International Director of the Global Workspace Association, the largest association of business centers and coworking spaces worldwide, based in USA, being resposible for associations´ initiatives in Europe. In Apr 2013 I launched my first book, called "Out of the Office": the first book worldwide about the future of the workspace.In 2016, Avila Spaces was presented as a case study at the European Workplace Innovation Network, an initiative of the European Commission.In 2017, Avila Spaces won the Award "Herois PME", given by SIC Notícias and Yunit Consulting.In 2018 and 2019 won the Award "Best Coworking Space in Lisbon", given by Coworker.com.In 2019 won the National Award 'Best Coworking Space' at the South Europe Startup Awards 2019 (SESA), which is part of the Global Startup Awards and aims to recognize the best organisations in the global startup ecosystem.In 2019 Avila Spaces was the first cowork space and office center to receive, in Portugal, a Great Place to Work Portugal certification, which distinguishes the best environments of national SMEs.About my Company: Located in Av.
