I am proud to work alongside some of the country’s best photojournalists to tell meaningful stories.I've raveled Iowa to cover some of its biggest breaking stories, including high-profile trials, severe weather and more.I specialize in political reporting, including covering the Iowa Legislature and Iowa Caucuses, during which, I was tasked with conducting one-on-one interviews with numerous presidential candidates. I also led our “Get the Facts” franchise during the 2020 election, producing weekly stories fact-checking political ads in competitive races.I serve as a regular substitute for weekend evening and morning anchors — and spend these shifts frequently assisting in coordinating news coverage.

Mid-Missouri's NBC affiliate. As a reporter, I research, pitch and report daily news and enterprise stories for broadcast and web as VOs, VOSOTs, or packages -- all on tight deadlines. I shoot, write, and edit all work. I continue to develop sources within the community and work with them to obtain information viewers need to know. I anchor weekend evening newscasts and fill-in in other timeslots (weekday and weekend) when needed. I'm a regular fill-in for our primary male anchor. In addition to reporting and anchoring, I also have experience working these behind-the-scenes positions at various intervals:Production Assistant (PA): Edit NBC Newschannel and CNN Newsource videos for broadcast and operate the teleprompter during newscasts. Edit video fed live from reporters in the field and assist in breaking news coverage as needed.Digital Producer: Monitor and update station social media feeds. Post Associated Press stories on website and follow-up on and write web stories based off of press releases emailed to the station. Post video to station website as needed. Additional duties sometimes include: answering station phone calls, monitoring scanner traffic and assisting in breaking news coverage.
