►Led a national 501(c)(6) nonprofit professional association that represents 4,000+ attorneys with practices in elder law and special needs planning across the United States.►Oversaw an annual operating budget of approximately $3 million, including a team of 10+ FTEs, national publications including NAELA Journal and NAELA News, a yearly conference for professionals, federal and state advocacy engagement, and supported a 16-member Board of Directors.►Developed and launched NAELA’s 2023 - 2028 Strategic Plan based on quantitative and qualitative feedback from nearly 1,000 attorneys in the field.►Launched the new www.NAELA.org in response to insights from the Board of Directors, NAELA members, and website users. ►Elevated NAELA’s voice, with media coverage secured in prominent outlets such as The New York Times, Kaiser Health News/NPR’s Health Shots, AARP Magazine, and the American Society on Aging’s Generations Journal.

►Led a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds partnerships in research, advocacy, and innovation to make life better for family caregivers►Oversaw multiple networks including 60+ member organizations, 30+ state/community advocates, 40+ research institutions, and 20+ global colleagues►Managed the organizational transition from the founder, tripling staff, stabilizing funding, and leading a Board-driven strategic planning process to bring the Board into compliance with the Bylaws►Directed the wind-down of a separate, sister 501(c)(3) global coalition with 16 global members known as the International Alliance for Carer Organizations (IACO); navigated transition to interim leadership at Carers Canada►Expanded regulatory advocacy to include outreach to FDA, CDC, and the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review (ICER) on caregiver roles in medical product and drug development; provided input to the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Cures 2.0 draft legislation, which includes an Article on family caregiving►Commissioned and released the first national policy study of caregivers of adults and children with rare diseases, Rare Caregiving in America (February 2018), in partnership with Global Genes, collecting quantitative data from 1,400+ respondents across 400 disease states►Directed NAC’s advocacy team to support and extend the bipartisan R.A.I.S.E. Family Caregivers Act of 2018 (Public Law No: 115-119); provided an overview of the law on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal; currently serve as faculty to the National Association of State Health Policy’s RAISE Family Caregiver Resource and Dissemination Center, which supports the law’s implementation►Developed the Caregiving in the U.S. 2020 study with AARP, capturing 1,400+ statistically representative caregiver perspectives; shared findings in interviews with the PBS NewsHour, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and multiple national presentations

► With input from national coalition members, drafted, designed, and PDF-published an issue brief on the impact of an ACA repeal on people and families living with dementia. ► Launched the Advocacy Mobilization and Communications Collaborative working groups.► Launched a new Inside the Movement e-newsletter to amplify digital advocacy and storytelling. ► Supported a “Week of Action” campaign and developed an infographic with member input to seek increased Alzheimer’s appropriations in the Federal Year 2017 budget.

DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS (March 2015 - November 2016) ► Supported and established partnerships between the National Alliance for Caregiving and key stakeholders, including government offices, policymakers, and outside organizations► Fostered business development for an annual budget of approximately $750,000.► Led the Alliance's traditional and social media, including the launch of the Caregiving in the U.S. 2015 report with AARP, which included a Congressional briefing with two members of Congress and over 100 attendees and media coverage from the New York Times, Forbes, and PBS News Hour & Next Avenue Blog► Gave national and international presentations on health policy, communications, and family caregiving, including the opening keynote address at "The Spectrum of Caregiving and Palliative Care in Rare Diseases", co-sponsored by the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Rare Diseases Research (ORDR)► Managed a team of two FTEs and student workers on projects, including the 8th, 9th, and 10th Annual National Conference of Caregiving Coalitions (2014, 2015, 2016) DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS & COALITIONS (March 2014 - March 2015)► Organized the #CultureOfCare social media chats with the Social Security Administration and other national coalitions (ReACT, Eldercare Workforce Alliance)► Established a social media strategy and doubled social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, yielding an average quarterly growth of 25%MANAGER, PROGRAM & COMMUNICATIONS (October 2013 - March 2014) ► Supported the National Network of Caregiving Coalitions, a virtual network of 80+ state/local caregiving coalitions across the United States

DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES & COMMUNICATIONS (March 2013 - October 2013)► Supported the Executive Director's efforts to implement a strategic course. ► Directed internal/external communications for the organization, including online content, White Papers, and regulatory comments. ► Represented the Alliance as a "Committed Member" of the health I.T. Standards & Interoperability Framework's Longitudinal Coordination of Care Working Group.► Successfully launched the Twitter #HomeHealthChat with partnering healthcare providers.SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (September 2011 - March 2013) ► Provided high quality support to the Executive Director as the sole support staff.► Researched and wrote interviews, fact sheets, white papers, website copy, e-newsletters and regulatory comments on home health's value, health I.T., and healthcare reform.► Worked with public affairs consultants to redesign Ahhqi.org and develop a Members Only site.► Managed office operations and planned quarterly meetings for the Board and Working Groups.
