WHAT I DO: The client has assigned me to another project to operate as a Project Manager. The project is to build, mentor 2 new team members, and lead them to assess 276 software systems to determine if there are compliant validation packages including the System Risk Classification (SRC) document (determines if it's a GxP system or regulated by other regulations). If a system is found with a non-compliant SRC to the SOP, then a new SRC will be created and released. After all needed SRCs are created, then the team will do any needed remediation validation to close the gap of a non-compliant package.

WHAT I DO: The client has assigned me to another project to operate as a BA. The project is a web-based training application Validation. I am charged with writing user requirements, user test cases and tracing between the two in HP Quality Center. Then, I have to create other validation documents that include Business Risk Assessment, Configuration Inventory, eRIM (electronic record Information Management) document which covers part of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, a data privacy document to document compliance to GDPR and CCPA. I will be creating a complete validation set of documents compliant to the company's SOP.
  • Maetrics
    Sr It Compliance Analyst
    Maetrics Jul 2019 - Dec 2019
    Monroeville, Pa, Us
WHAT I DO: I assess documentation of released business quality classified software. The client company decided to engage me for another project initially for 3 months, but the amount of project work needed to complete could cause the need to extend me until the end of December. The first phase of this project is to assess an estimated 375 software systems for another business unit to see if a software risk classification was done and was it done correctly. If the system does not have the risk classification or was inadequate, I will author a replacement or new one. I will have it reviewed by the appropriate stakeholders. Add it to the document repository and route it to be officially approved. If I find any systems that were not validated, then I submit a request to the appropriate IT group to write the validation document set to meet the level of validation required based on the software risk classification, perform the validation and write the validation report to meet the requirements of the company SOP.
  • Maetrics
    Senior It Compliance Analyst
    Maetrics Apr 2019 - Jul 2019
    Monroeville, Pa, Us
WHAT I DO: I perform IT Compliance Analysis on a business integration project. I analyze Computerized System/Software documentation such as System Risk Classification, requirements documents, validation plans, test plans that were compliant a Division Quality System SOP for gaps to transition them to be compliant with the Global Computerized System/Software Life Cycle Quality System SOP. For gaps found, request IT owners to fill the gaps. This effort falls under the FDA QUALITY SYSTEM REGULATION 21 CFR 820.70(i). The systems include SAP, systems that handle the device history record, systems that handle clinical trial data including data protected by HIPPA, the system for handling complaint information, and systems that handle privacy data. WHY IT MATTERS: The reputation of the business is on the line from bad press because your organization has had a Warning Letter Issued from the FDA for operating outside of compliance of your Quality Plan. The impact of this is a drop in product sales due to the potential customer running scared from the fear of poor quality. In addition, the FDA could levy a significant fine for your company.RESULT: 70 Systems Assessed. 19 were dropped because Inventory said they were Quality Systems, but after assessing the Risk Classifications they were classified as non-quality systems making them out of scope for the gap assessment. The remaining systems I assessed for gaps. Only 67% of the remaining systems had gap issues. The issues were missing validation deliverables. Missing validation deliverables can be grounds for an FDA 483 Warning Letter. There were 2 different deliverables but commonly missing on 9 systems resulting in a CAPA being initiated. WHO I WORK WITH: Division Vice President, IT Directors, Quality Directors, IT Managers, Quality Managers, SQA and SME's.READY TO TALK? WHAT I DO: I bring Medical Device clients analytical laboratory, equipment and test methods used for incoming inspection to follow FDA regulations through validation. ASSIGNED PROJECT: Validate the Medical Adhesive Bond Strength Test and Associated Equipment.I design Validation Plans for Test Methods using a Gage R & R Study. My findings of the Analysis of the Current State (below) it was clear I needed to verify the quality of the test specimen preparation before trying to validate the test method. I designed an experiment based on the FULL FACTORIAL Design using Minitab. To address the equipment traceability issues, I ordered new equipment with calibration certificates.WHY IT MATTERS: Boston Scientific acquired the Men’s Health Division of American Medical Systems that had and FDA Warning Letter with one of the deficiencies listed that the equipment and test methods used in the analytical laboratory did not comply with FDA regulations that it must be validated for a CAPA. WHO I WORK WITH: I work with lab technicians, the lab manager, and Remediation Project Manager.ANALYSIS OF CURRENT STATE: I confirmed there was no traceability of calibration equipment used for sample preparation. I identified there was not a drawing or specification for the material to use for test sample preparation. I identified discrepancies in the sample preparation instructions and test method. I observed variation in sample preparation by the laboratory technician.MY EXPERIMENT RESULTS: Analyzing the data with Minitab the thickness of the adhesive in the joint varied tremendously as indicated by a Cpk of 0.15. Thus, the value of the bond strength measurement would be highly variable due to the sample preparation thus impossible to determine if the adhesive bond strength met spec or not. Management decided to eliminate the use of this test.READY TO TALK? Reach out to me directly here on LinkedIn, email me atCurtis.Griffy@gnaweb.net, or call me direct at 651-261-0814.

I work on work production line rejects and quality test rejects after burn in.I would pinpoint the defective component in the radio then have my repair person replace the bad component. In a typical day, I would diagnose and have repaired 90 units to keep the repair person buried. Initially I started as an intern and this level of performance caused the plant manager to offer me a full-time job.I built the in-circuit test fixtures for the test engineer.WHO I WORK WITH: Plant Manager, production line tuning staff, test engineer and quality testers.WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: I am driven to be an over achiever to make significant impacts.READY TO TALK?
