- Successfully designed and implemented a comprehensive screening test to characterize respiratory samples. The test evidenced the presence of inhibitory substances in patient respiratory samples and helped establish its rate of incidence. The impact of these findings dictated the parameters and design of the respiratory sample processing system. This culminated in the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art, centrifuge-like system to clean patient respiratory samples of any possible inhibitory substances present. This system enables high efficiency recovery of pathogens. - Designed and delivered assay for the rapid identification of bacteria in respiratory infections and rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing. European CE mark obtained in January 2018.
