Hi there! My name is Rob. I'm an American creative living on the west coast of Sweden.I married my amazing Swedish wife, Veronica, in 2002 here in Ljungskile, where we raised our two incredible boys, until we moved to Northern Thailand in 2013. There I worked with photo and video in an international organisation until 2021. We now live back in Ljungskile where I work as a professional freelance photographer. I  grew up in a small town in the foothills of Northern California cold Angels Camp. I like to call myself a 'friendly introvert'.I have at least one super-power: I can get almost any Swede to start singing the Dallas theme song along with me instantly. Call it a gift :-) My other gifts are to encourage people, to make them feel good about themselves, to make them laugh, and to create products that people will want to revisit frequently.Photography is currently my main focus. I got my first camera as a gift when I travelled to Europe at age 13. In my opinion, having good gear is not essential to creating an impressive image. The love of the craft and the subject and how I connect with it are more important. As the great American landscape photographer, Ansel Adams, once said, “The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it!"I have worked cross-culturally since 1996, during which time I was involved in photo and video projects in countries like: USA, Sweden, Thailand, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan and Cambodia.  The biggest inspiration for my work comes from the people I meet and God's magnificent creation, and the beauty  I encounter, both natural and manmade.I hope you enjoy my work. If you are interested in contacting me for a project, or simply want to talk photography or video, I would be more than happy to hang out. Click here to start the conversation.
