These negotiations led to formation of brownfield refining policy.KEY ASSIGNMENTS• Preparation of annual budget on basis of technical & financial assumptions and presentation to BoD for approval.• Development of strategy and 5 years’ business plan in collaboration with technical and commercial teams, focusing on stabilizing the declining profitability and meeting the new technological challenges.• Oversee preparation of tax returns, manage tax audits and hearings in various jurisdictions.• Working closely with external tax advisers to ensure the company is compliant with tax legislation.• Handling tax litigation, compliance, advisory, planning and identifying tax saving opportunities.• Implement budgetary control framework to support company’s internal control system.• Evaluation of proposals involving CapEx for expansion, transformation, and new ventures• Manage various facility agreements with the agent bank and maintain relationship with the lenders.• Monitor financial risks and performance of company against KPIs and recommend improvements.• Initiate and accomplish discounted cash flow analysis (DCF) based share valuations from independent valuer.• Coordinate with the Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA) for credit rating of the company. • Financial evaluation of potential customers/ suppliers of the company. • Collaborate with financial reporting in periodic closing and preparation of financial statements.• Represent ARL in meetings with external stakeholders including government officials, regulatory bodies etc.
