As a teen, New Years’ resolutions left me cold because I preferred to make life changes all along the way, rather than waiting for the arbitrary turn of the calendar. While I don’t mean to diminish the ability of a calendar marker to motivate change, it has never been my focus. Unify Consulting immediately put me to work for Providence Health Care, within Administrative Technologies. We rolled out continuous improvement systems and digital tools that improved the end-to-end onboarding experience for staff and leaders across the entire organization.I also launched the Training and Organizational Design Community of Practice with my peers within Unify and was promoted to Practice Manager after 10 months with the company.

Just as my time with Valence was wrapping up, I was recruited by a colleague from my Neighborcare years to join the Polyclinic’s Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) / Lean Team. In 2021 I was promoted to also oversee CPI’s educational program. While at the Polyclinic, I launched the MSK Value Stream and managed its projects; this work resulted in the reduction in days to the 3rd next available patient appointments from 18 to 11 and minutes to resolving urgent referrals from 75 to 45.
