My deep and abiding passion for continuous improvement started long before I knew anything about Lean, Six Sigma, or any business methodologies or improvement tools. As a teen, New Years’ resolutions left me cold because I preferred to make life changes all along the way, rather than waiting for the arbitrary turn of the calendar. While I don’t mean to diminish the ability of a calendar marker to motivate change, it has never been my focus. This love for improvement for customers, for staff, and for the business has given me broad experience across industries, in the for-profit and non-profit sectors, from health care to tech start ups. I am particularly facile at developing strategies and creative recommendations, then articulating the risks and benefits for each option.
