Chad A. Bledsoe retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in December 2020, where he served as a Special Agent for over 23 years. As an FBI Agent, Chad worked a variety of investigations, to include Organized Crime, White Collar Fraud, Counterterrorism, Human Intelligence, Street Gangs and Drugs. Chad was also a member of specialized response teams within the FBI, to include Evidence Response, Crisis Negotiator, and Crisis Intervention. For the majority of his career, Chad operated as a Supervisory Special Agent managing investigative squads as well as the FBI’s Employee Assistance Program, where he performed the role of Regional Program Manager (RPM). As the RPM, he provided crisis intervention at numerous active shooter events, violent crime scenes, suicides, and National crises. Chad also managed the FBI Chaplain’s Program, the Crisis Intervention Program, and the Suicide Awareness Program. Chad has trained thousands of FBI employees and task force officers in stress management and self-care following trauma exposure. Chad has received numerous awards during his Agent career, to include the rare and prestigious “FBI Director’s Award for Excellence in Leadership,” for providing over 20 years of outstanding crisis intervention, leadership, and guidance to his fellow Agents, local law enforcement partners and community members, and FBI professional support staff.Prior to the FBI, Chad worked at Tucson Medical Center for nine years providing crisis intervention and social services for ER/trauma center victims and hospital inpatients. Chad has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance, and he has provided marriage and family counseling, trauma/crisis intervention, and stress management training for over 34 years.Chad has been blessed to be married for over 31 years, and he has two adult children and one grandson. He serves at his local church teaching 5th graders, leading a men’s Bible study, and leading a couples’ neighborhood group. Chad enjoys meeting with people for breakfast or lunch to provide counsel or mentorship utilizing his God-given abilities to impart encouragement, understanding, and hope.
