Army Horizontal Construction Engineer uses heavy equipment like bulldozers, graders, and cranes to move earth and material in order to complete construction projects for the U.S. Army.

Contacts, interviews, and advises civilian personnel to obtain qualified applicants for enlistment into the Army. Contacts representatives of schools, public officials, personnel managers, parents of prospective applicants, religious and civil leaders, and others to present the Army as an employment and career opportunity. Presents formal and informal talks on advantages of the Army at civic and service organizations and student bodies

Programmed part designs into the laser, ensured laser operated correctly, and maintained and preformed basic repairs on the laser. Prepared parts for the customer by using presses to bend parts and taps to thread holes. Assembled fume hoods of varying designs and sizes based on the customers preferences.

Duties include working as a team to fight fires, use extraction equipment to get people out of vehicles and to serve the public in a large variety of ways. We also perform maintenance on all of our vehicles and equipment.
