Workin' It:▪ This is a workout tracker app for building muscle, focusing on simplicity and user experience. UX research was made on numerous trainers at local gyms and feedback was implemented. Created by myself I was involved in all aspects of this project including UI/UX design, front-end, and back-end development. The main stack for this project is MongoDB, ExpressJS, ReactJS, Redux, and NodeJS. I also utilized PassportJS and JWT for authorization, securing every endpoint.Give Me a Night▪ This was an app designed and developed by myself which helps gives ideas for a night out on the town. It utilizes 5 different RESTful APIs to achieve this: google places, EventBrite, Zomato, IMDB, and Eventful. All of the data is converged to seem as if it is truly just one simple app with all of this data. The complexity of the asynchronous calls was handled with Reactive Programming using RxJS. React and Redux were used as the primary technologies. The UI was designed by myself, including all images on the site made in photoshop. Transcriptor:▪ Designed and developed by myself, this app is intended for students in the human sciences who do qualitative research in groups. This makes for one easy to access online storage space that can quickly and simply search and organize all of the interview session transcripts that students upload. On the back-end NodeJS is used with Express, and MongoDB and Mongoose to handle models and the database. jQuery is used to work with all of the front end aspects including API calls to the back end.
