Provide technical assistance to consultanting engineering firms including electrical system design options, physical equipment layouts, budgeting capital equipment cost estimates, and technical specification support. Responsible for the following product lines: medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, medium voltage motor controllers, variable speed drives, capacitors, low voltage motor control centers, switchboards, busway, uninterruptible power supplies, relays, paralleling switchgear, automatic transfer switches, motors, lighting fixtures/lamps, panelboards and SPD.

Responsibilities include power distribution system layout/design, writing of equipment requisitions/specifications, technical and commercial bid analysis, vendor drawing review, factory witness testing and equipment inspection. Computer simulation of power distribution systems to perform short circuit analysis, load flow and voltage drop calculations, arc-flash calculations, and coordination studies for low and medium voltage equipment using both SKM and EDSA software packages.

Writing and evaluating specifications for power distribution equipment including unit substations, medium and low voltage switchgear, generators, UPS's and motor control centers. Supervision of draftsmen in creating construction and installation drawings. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code for equipment installations in both classified and non-classified locations.
