• Manufacturing Engineering Manager – My team which consisted of 8 personnel under me, ran the NPI (new product introduction) and the daily manufacturing processes for all large wheel loaders at Caterpillar. This was 3 mainline operations and 2 buildings worth of sub assembly. (40% of all production at Caterpillar Decatur) I was responsible for the following :o Capacity planningo SWES (standard work element sheets)o BOM (bill of material) listings for the entire producto PFMEA, Process Flow Charts, assembly line layouts for efficiencyo Acquire all special tooling, fixtures, LD’s and basic tools needed for manufacturingo Support daily manufacturing processo Supported CI (continuous improvement) process closing over 700 CI cards in 2019o Evaluated prints for all SDC and implemented any SPC that were needed for the processo Engineering Change Documentation and Implementationo Understanding and planning WIP values and holding lines accountable• Quality Manager - My team which consisted of 52 auditors, was responsible for auditing all the final build products in the Decatur facility. This included 9 mainlines and the sub-assembly areas supporting those products. My responsibility was the following : o Quality Checklists for consistent repeatable checkso RCCA process to eliminate defects permanentlyo Worked with various Product Groups in communicating and resolving customer field issueso Worked with suppliers to remedy supplier related issues that impacted manufacturingo Made validation trips to suppliers and to customers to understand processes and expectationso Helped engineering and processing partners with implementation of robust design changes and process changes to mitigate quality issues found during assembly• Test Team – Responsible for writing all coding and controlling the machines through the software for machine validation.o Designed test stands using PLC and ladder logico Integrated test software with machine software to control producto Validated pressures from gauging into tests with controls to ensure machine functionalityo Developed test scripting to ensure operator applied exact operations necessary to fit the conditions the product needed to be in to achieve the proper results
