As the Manager of Solutions Engineering at Diamond State Networks, I lead a team of talented solutions engineers in delivering innovative technical solutions to our clients. Design physical and logical carrier grade service solutions that meet the needs of Diamond State Networks customers. Develop methodology, procedure and standards to design, implement and support. Facilitate the sales process by adding technical value and support. Implement and maintain best practices for Diamond State Networks operations and over all life cycle of service delivery.

Working closely with Enterprise Sales as a subject matter expert representing Ritter’s products and services to current and future enterprise business customers. Responsible for engineering network and service solutions including connectivity, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, SAN/NAS, cabling, backups, hosted voice, VoIP, PBX/Key systems, and other network equipment. Perform pre-sales technical demos and presentations along with conducting training for internal sales and customer support teams on the design, capabilities, and technical specifications of products.

Educate students through strong verbal led classroom lectures, and well planned Packet Tracer and hands-on labs and exercises. Courses of study include: Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching, Scaling Networks and Connecting Networks. Upon completion students will have strong working knowledge of routing, switching, network applications, protocols and services.

Provide technical expertise, strategic planning and recommendations for new business opportunities in existing or new markets. Work with internal stakeholders to evaluate and design solutions for business and customer requirements using sound design principles and business practice methodologies without jeopardizing network integrity. Collaborate with internal NA&E, Market, Product and Sales to understand market ecosystem requirements. Assist in developing methodology, procedure and standards to design, implement and support product portfolio. Product portfolio includes Layer1-3 protocols and Equipment specifications. Accountable for physical design, scope of initial anchor build & general proximity to additional viable business opportunity locations that are identified by Market Developer and Sales.Accountable for review and delivery of opportunity pricing to Finance/Offer Management for all CAPEX/OPEX assumptions. Collaborates on fiber plant usage/reservations based on sales forecasts and Layer1-3 market strategy.Collaborate with Project Manager on fiber plant layout, sizing and requirements based on current and future market opportunities as it relates to construction in process and potential Sales opportunities. Accountable for review and delivery of opportunity pricing to Manager for all CAPEX/OPEX assumptions. Customer facing support representing Technical Services Team.

A technical leader, responsible for overseeing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support in a 24x7 Maanaged Services environment that provides technical support for complex business environments. Accountabe for request fulfillment, change management, incident management, problem management, crisis management, capacity management and continual service improvement for client environments.Ensured that the team is structured, staffed, trained, and prepared to ensure high availability and performance for all customer networks and systems, ensuring customer satisfaction, customer retetetion, and salability for customer service expansion. Maintained day to day relationships with partners and vendors who provide services for DataCast, Inc.

Design and sell Windstream's advanced data products.Support sales with proposal generation for all complex Windstream WAN designs (i.e. pricing assistance, equipment design, Visio documentation, and detailed SOW). Prepare, complete and present all technical paperwork to the engineering team for customer implementation(s).Conduct training for Sales and Account development on technical concepts, features, and capabilities of data products.Provide technical expertise to Marketing and Training teams during rollout of new data services or enhancements to existing offerings. Act as technical liaison between post sales implementation groups, engineering and sales teams.Subject matter expert for data services, LAN/WAN technologies, LAN/WAN applications, SIP and associated LAN/WAN applications.
