Vendor Quality Surveillance Inspector
CurrentTo ensure all items inspected are safe and compliant once energized or put into service no issues will be due to safe fabrication.Ensure approved project Purchase Order and attachments are applied and utilized properly to comply with the designated ITP and Quality Manual for revolution being performed. As the QI for representing the engineering or buyer; my duties are to comply with the required witness and hold points for each step as well as ensure all project specifications and procedures are approved and correctly revised and applied to fabrication, testing and operation. Perform all project document reviews and ensure traceability, materials, fabrication procedures and craftsmanship, schedule, communications between clients and vendors, drawing and dimensional reviews and testing. Responsibilities also include witnessing NDE performed and all test certifications and procedures used and test reports as well as conditions. Review all equipment calibration certifications, technician and welder certifications and compliance with required exceptions such as eye exams and required vision assistance as required is being utilized always. Ensure in progress consumables are stored and properly controlled as required as well as being utilized per specifications. Ensure all materials are correct and BOM is being checked to materials arrived on site as scheduled. Communicate daily/ weekly or as required with project team members or contact designated. Ensure team is aware of all issues and possible delays or positive observations reports if observed.Witness FAT testing and procedures of all equipment, Perform document MRB's and/ or dispatch dossiers etc. Once all equipment and documents are reviewed and approved by the project designated lead or engineer the final release report is issued.
