In this role I have been exposed to and active in many exploration programs. Most notable was the 9,000m drilling program during the summer of 2021, where I was able to log core by identifying lithology, mineralization types and styles, structures, and alterations. From this I was able to plot the information on cross sections to assist in refining the geological model for our Shakespeare Mine and regional targets. Other programs include completing IP and EM geophysical surveys to identify exploration targets, field mapping and prospecting to gain a strong understanding of the properties complex geology, and sampling (grab and channel) to obtain geochemical results to tailor further exploration. Environmental work is also undertaken by monitoring pit and sedimentation pond levels and pH, and water treatment to ensure environmental compliance when completing water transfers and discharges to the environment. In this role, I was able to learn water sampling techniques by sampling effluent and leachate waters on a weekly and biweekly basis. Working with different contractors was frequent as other tasks completed included repairing lateral and mainline sewers, and completing house calls to remove potential blockages from customers sewer lateral lines.
